Shell Material: 100% polyester Unity with HydroBlock® lamination and DuroGuard DWR, or Durable Water Repellent, is a coating applied to clothing and footwear for extra water resistance. DWR causes water droplets to bead up and roll off the fabric surface instead of saturating the fibers themselves.
When cold water gets into the fibers there is a greater chance it will seep through, and it can even steal your warmth by causing conductive heat loss. By keeping moisture off of fabric, DWR helps you stay drier and warmer.
